The 07.M4.C2D-3220 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by KEB for the M4 Variable Frequency Drives series. This wall-mounted module controls asynchronous motors in industrial automation by adjusting supply frequency and voltage to match process requirements. Its compact control design and standard housing allow direct installation on equipment enclosures, providing a sealed speed-control solution without a separate cabinet. The drive belongs to the 230 V class and interfaces with the mains supplies commonly used in light industrial plants.

The drive accepts a mains voltage of 180-260 V in the 230 V class and uses a 10 mm² protective earth conductor. At this input, the inverter delivers a continuous output current of 4 A and nominal apparent power of 1.6 kVA. This capacity supports motors up to 0.75 kW at rated duty or 1.5 kW during brief peaks. An overload capacity of 130% permits short torque boosts without causing a trip. The IGBT bridge switches at 4 kHz, balancing acoustic noise and switching losses. An integrated filter attenuates conducted emissions near sensitive control wiring, and an optional line filter can provide additional suppression.

The heat sink may reach 70 °C before derating is required, provided the ambient temperature remains below 45 °C. The installation altitude must not exceed 2000 m. Upstream protection must withstand a prospective short-circuit current of 10 kA rms. Nominal line demand is 8 A for single-phase wiring or 4.4 A for three-phase wiring, which helps determine feeder requirements for the selected supply arrangement. A line-to-earth voltage limit of 300 V protects the insulation system from excessive electrical stress. The IP65/54 protection class, housing design D, and wall-mounted layout help prevent dust and water jets from reaching live components. These enclosure features permit the drive to be mounted near conveyors and other decentralized motor installations where exposure protection is required.
