The unit regulates motor flux with closed-loop field-oriented control for an induction motor, allowing vector resolution of torque even at low speed. It is designed for three-phase mains and operates on a nominal bus of 230 V, matching common plant distribution networks. Internal IGBTs switch at 4 kHz, balancing current ripple and thermal loss. Hardware protection issues an overcurrent trip at 240% of the rated output; this threshold keeps semiconductors within safe operating limits during faults. A factory-installed braking transistor directs regenerated energy into an external resistor so deceleration does not raise the DC-link voltage. Dynamic overload capacity reaches 200% for several seconds, providing acceleration torque when heavy loads start from rest.
