The 07.F4.S2C-1220 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. As a COMBIVERT F4 unit, it converts single-phase mains power into a variable AC output for induction or synchronous machines rated up to 0.75 kW. This conversion provides speed control and soft-start functions for conveyors, fans, pumps, and other motor-driven equipment.

The mains connection accepts 180 to 260 V within the 230 V AC voltage class, and the device draws a nominal input current of 8 A. Internally, it chops the DC link at a rated switching frequency of 4 kHz, delivering an output current of 4 A and up to 1.6 kVA to the motor terminals. The enclosure carries an IP20 protection rating, so it must be mounted in a clean control cabinet that prevents contact with live parts. A built-in filter limits conducted interference, while the standard control mode and standard fieldbus option provide basic keypad, analog, and relay interfaces. Cable lugs for conductor cross sections up to 2.5 mm² fit the supply terminal block. These terminals accommodate the supply wiring required for machines within the inverter's designated power class.

The heat sink temperature must not exceed 85 °C, and operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from -10 °C to 45 °C. Relative humidity is limited to 95% without condensation. The overcurrent channels trip at 8.8 A, while brief overloads are permitted up to the 7.2 A short-time rating. Sustained braking energy is managed through an external resistor with a minimum resistance of 56 ?. A 100 ? resistor is recommended for typical duty and reduces dissipation in low-inertia loads, while the brake circuit can handle a maximum current of 7 A. Upstream circuit protection requires a 20 A mains fuse, and the internal electronics trip if the overcurrent threshold is exceeded.
