The 09.F0.R01-1228 is a cabinet-mounted AC drive module produced by KEB and supplied within the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. It regulates the speed and torque of small induction or permanent-magnet motors in factory automation. This control allows a PLC or process controller to match mechanical output to real-time load demands without additional mechanical throttling, which is useful in applications with changing operating conditions.

This model delivers a rated output of 2.8 kVA, giving the drive sufficient apparent power for general-purpose motion tasks on light conveyors, pumps, or positioning axes. Connected motors can deliver up to 1.5 kW of mechanical power at the shaft. The inverter can produce output frequencies as high as 408 Hz, allowing high-pole or high-speed machines to remain under closed-loop control throughout the upper operating range. Transient load spikes are handled by a 200 % overload for 30 s, which allows the application to accelerate or counter sudden inertia changes without nuisance trips. All components are housed in an enclosure rated to IP20, which prevents direct finger contact with live parts and is suitable for installation inside a finished control panel.

The unit is suitable for installations up to 3000 m above sea level, where reduced air density can affect cooling performance. Reliable operation is maintained in air containing up to 95 % RH noncondensing moisture, supporting use in humid production areas. After power is removed, the DC-link capacitors require a 5-minute discharge period before service access is permitted. Thermal rise is managed by maintaining a vertical airflow path with 50 mm of clearance on each side of the unit. At least 100 mm of clearance must also be maintained above and below the unit so convection can carry heat away from the heat sink and switching components.
