09.F0.201-3479 by KEB

The 09.F0.201-3479 is a variable-frequency inverter supplied by KEB as part of the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. Installed inside a machine panel, the cabinet rectifies incoming AC power and drives asynchronous motors with controlled frequency and voltage. In small-scale automation, it delivers matched torque, protects the motor from abnormal line events, and simplifies installation by packaging power electronics, protection, and field wiring terminals in one enclosure for compact production cells and laboratory rigs.

Its housing carries an IP20 rating, so components are finger-safe but require mounting in a closed electrical cabinet. The input section accepts three-phase supplies from 180 V AC up to 264 V AC. Outside this input range, the DC bus monitor trips at 250 V for undervoltage or 400 V for overvoltage to protect the drive. Output frequency is adjustable to 408 Hz, enabling operation of high-speed motors, and continuous load is supported by a rated phase current of 7.0 A. A 20 A mains fuse must be installed upstream, and conductors up to 2.5 mm² fit the terminal blocks. Reliable performance is specified at altitudes up to 3000 m without derating.

Power losses measure only 70 W at the default 4 kHz switching frequency. When supplied within its motor power range of 1.5 kW, the inverter delivers up to 2.8 kVA of apparent power to the stator while remaining within its operating limits. Operation is allowed from -10 °C to 45 °C. If internal sensors detect a temperature of 70 °C on critical components, the drive issues an overtemperature fault and disables its output until conditions return to an acceptable level. The low power loss reduces the amount of heat that must be removed from the surrounding electrical cabinet.
