The ERC 112C is a refrigeration control unit produced by Danfoss. It supervises compressor cycling, fan operation, and defrost timing so that display cases and cold rooms maintain stable temperatures without manual adjustment. Within an automation panel, the controller communicates sensor status to higher-level systems while switching loads directly through its integrated relays. By combining temperature measurement, a user interface, and output logic on one compact board, it helps reduce component count and wiring time.

This controller accepts 4 analog inputs, allowing simultaneous monitoring of multiple temperature probes or a pressure transducer. A single digital input, listed as 1, can receive a door switch or alarm contact that requires an immediate logic response. For actuation, the device offers 4 digital outputs rated for inductive loads, so it can control a compressor, evaporator fan, defrost heater, and light circuit from one module. The front fascia uses a blue display that remains easy to read in equipment rooms. Internal timing is synchronized to the mains because the control electronics support 50/60 Hz operation, allowing installation on either European or North American supplies.

Supply tolerance ranges from a minimum of 100 VAC to a maximum of 240 VAC, so the same unit can operate on common single-phase networks without an external transformer. Even with this wide voltage span, the printed circuit assembly weighs only 0.077 kg, which helps when the controller is mounted on lightweight panel sections or service doors. As part of the Electronic Climate Controllers series, it is intended for refrigeration control tasks such as compressor management, fan timing, and defrost operation.
