It regulates commercial refrigeration or HVAC condensing sections by reading pressure, temperature, and defrost signals and then issuing run commands to compressors and condenser fans. The controller bridges the field layer to supervisory automation, allowing the system to maintain stable evaporation conditions, reduce energy use, and protect mechanical equipment against fault conditions. Because the algorithm executes locally, the unit can keep cooling capacity available even if network supervision is lost.

The controller operates from a single-phase 230 V supply, so it can be wired directly to standard mains circuits used in light commercial equipment.
