The 084B8130 is a case controller manufactured by Danfoss within the AK-CC55 Case Controllers series. Designed for refrigerated display cases and cold rooms, the unit collects sensor data, performs control logic, and energizes outputs that drive valves, fans, and defrost heaters so that temperature, pressure, and energy use stay within programmed limits in automated cooling installations. It operates from a nominal 230 V AC mains supply that tolerates a +10/-15% variation, allowing direct connection to common AC power networks. Line frequencies of 50/60 Hz are accepted, and typical draw is only 5 VA, which helps limit heat load inside crowded control cabinets. Because the unit combines sensing, switching, and timing functions, it can manage common refrigeration sequences from a single control point.
The controller accepts 6 analog inputs for temperature or pressure signals, letting it monitor multiple evaporator and air sensors at the same time. Support for the AKS 32R pressure transmitter and Pt1000 sensors allows closed-loop control of suction pressure and coil temperature with factory-calibrated accuracy. Setpoints and alarms are shown on the front 3-digit LED display, giving local status without external tools. The primary relay channel, DO1, is a solid-state device rated for 0.5 A at up to 240 V AC, which reduces contact wear when switching heaters or solenoid coils. The logic side also controls six digital outputs, so additional evaporator fans or light circuits can be driven without external relays.
For electrical safety inside panels, the housing carries an IP20 rating that helps prevent accidental finger access to live parts and requires installation inside an enclosure. Thermal headroom is wide, and the electronics remain functional up to +55 °C during operation while ambient storage can reach +70 °C without damage. If power is lost, an internal supercapacitor maintains real-time clock operation for 4 h, preserving defrost scheduling until mains power returns. Stored clock data helps keep scheduled defrost intervals aligned after brief interruptions.
