The Slo-Syn Stepping Motors series by Danaher includes both stepping motors and synchronous motors. The Slo-Syn motors are known for being accurate and dependable, which make these motors suitable choices for applications that need precise and repeatable positioning. A main feature of the Slo-Syn series is that it has a step accuracy, usually about ±2. These motors can run in full steps that are about (1.8°) or half-step that is about (0.9°) modes, and models may have micro-stepping to allow for even smaller steps, getting as small as .0072 degrees. When there is a need to have extremely high-resolution positioning, this micro-stepping feature can be very useful. These motors come in NEMA 23 and 34 frame sizes, with holding torque that is from 68 to 1155 oz-in. Because they are built to handle very rough conditions, they can operate in places that are from -40C to +65C.
