The POWERSTAT Transformers series includes many variable transformers that you control by hand, and these can be set up for one- or three-phase jobs. These transformers are made to work with either 120- or 240-volt power lines and use coils called POWERKOTE. For things that need a steady flow of current, the POWERSTAT series can put out 3.5 to 10 amperes. When the job needs constant electrical resistance, the series can handle the top output current of 5 to 13 amperes. It's worth mentioning that these units are open, not having screens, fuses, line switches, terminal boxes, input cables, or output plugs. With shafts that can be taken off, which then can be made longer from either side, they are more useful to people for different jobs. Many units can work at higher rates, like from 50 to 1500 Hz without changing how much current they send out. Constant current models are a bit different, because there is a little drop between 1500 and 2000 hertz.
