The NextDrive Frequency Drive series is made to give flexible control of AC motor speeds. The series has different drive models with power from 1 to 20 HP to fit a NEMA design B, three-phase AC induction motor. Using pulse width modulation (PWM), these drives use a microprocessor. Depending on the model, these drives use a three-phase power input at 240 VAC and 480 VAC. Correct setup needs care in how the grounding and wiring are done, following all electrical safety rules. You can also use input line reactors to lower harmonic distortion, if needed. When hooking up the power, it is important to use the correct type and amount of line fusing, plus branch circuit protection. For uses where quick slowing down is needed, a dynamic brake resistor module can be added. These drives use analog and digital signals. It has analog inputs for remote use, digital inputs for start/stop, and digital outputs for status. Things like speed up time, top speed, and torque limit can be set. To keep things safe and working, this series has protection like overcurrent protection and watching for high heat.
