The Danaher HS35R1024H57401 encoder is a precision device within the Dynapar Encoders series, engineered by Danaher for demanding industrial automation applications. This incremental optical encoder delivers a Resolution of 1024 PPR for accurate position feedback, and operates over an Electrical Input range of 5–26 VDC with a maximum current draw of 80 mA (excluding outputs). Its robust enclosure, rated NEMA12/IP54, ensures dependable performance in environments with dust and light moisture exposure. The encoder accommodates shaft speeds up to 5,000 RPM, enabling high-speed rotary feedback in motion control systems. With a choice of 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch Shaft Size, integration into a wide variety of machine designs is straightforward and efficient.

This encoder’s performance is defined by its dual-channel quadrature output and optional index (Z) and complementary signals, supporting flexible signal format requirements. It maintains Quadrature Phasing of 90° ± 22.5° electrical with precise phase sense (Channel A leads B in CW/CCW when viewed from the shaft end). The device exhibits a Frequency Response of at least 100 kHz, while index pulses maintain rated frequency to 75 kHz even under extended temperature conditions. Output options include 7273 open-collector sink at 40 mA, 7272 push-pull 40 mA sink/source, and a Differential Line Driver capable of 40–100 mA. These technical features ensure clean, noise-resistant signals suitable for advanced motion controllers and PLCs.

Reliability is assured through operation in temperatures from 0–70 °C (standard) with an extended range to 85 °C for higher-temperature environments. The encoder’s mechanical robustness supports 35 lb radial and 40 lb axial shaft loading at 0.25 inches from the face, complemented by a low Starting Torque of 1.0 oz-in (HA525) or 2.5 oz-in (HA625) versions to minimize system drag. Enhanced enclosure options rated NEMA4/IP66 further protect internal optics against washdown and harsh conditions. Integration is simplified by standardized mounting and electrical interfaces, making this encoder ideal for conveyors, robotics, packaging machinery, and other industrial automation systems requiring reliable, high-resolution rotary feedback.
