The F144096/063XZ20 encoder by Danaher is part of the Dynapar Encoders series, offering a compact solution for precision motion control. This incremental optical encoder features a Resolution Range of 1000–5000 PPR and a fixed Resolution of 4096 PPR, delivering high-fidelity feedback in demanding environments. Designed with a Mechanical Design of non-marring hollow shaft and flex tether, it accommodates an 8 mm Hub Diameter and a 10 mm collar for versatile mounting options. The device operates reliably up to 120 °C, ensuring consistent performance across thermal extremes. Requiring only 5 VDC ±10% for power, it draws 150 mA for incremental only and 175 mA with commutation, making integration straightforward in modern automation systems.
Performance is rooted in precise signal generation and low-latency outputs. The encoder's Incremental Accuracy of ±2.5 arc-min edge-to-edge and Index Channel Accuracy of ±1° mechanical maintain tight position control, while the Minimum Edge Separation of 45° between A and B channels optimizes noise immunity. The Incremental Output uses a 26LC31 differential line driver (40 mA max) for robust signal integrity over long cable runs. Commutation channels U, V, and W, spaced 120° phase relationship, align motor phases precisely, aided by a Commutation Accuracy of ±6 arc-min and Commutation Output via open-collector (30 mA max). The Index Pulse Width selectable at 90° A & B high or 180° B high ensures accurate homing and reference positioning.
