The Copley Controls 800-1840 module is part of the Accelnet CanOPEN Modules series, delivering precise motion control in industrial automation systems. This module operates in a Modulating with Electronic Cam mode, offering dynamic positioning and profiling. With a Fan Motor Speed of 2900 rpm and a Total Electrical Power rating of 8.8 kW, it supports demanding servo applications requiring continuous power and effective thermal management. Designed to interface with brush and brushless motors, it ensures reliability in high-speed indexing and camming tasks.

The 800-1840 accepts a main supply voltage of Three-phase 230/400 to 400/690 V, 50 Hz and an auxiliary DC input range of 14 VDC to 90 VDC. It features an input current rating of 6 A and delivers an output current between 3 A and 6 A at up to 90 VDC. The amplifier implements a three-phase PWM inverter output with a variable frequency span from 0 to 3000 Hz. Communication is provided via dual EtherCAT ports using standard RJ45 connectors, and an RS-232 port supporting baud rates from 9600 to 115200. Safety functions include Safe Torque Off (STO) in compliance with IEC 61800-5-2, ensuring rapid and reliable drive shutdown. Eight opto-isolated inputs and two ±10 V analog inputs with 14-bit resolution enable precise control over position, torque, and velocity.

Built for installation in upright orientation within an IP20-rated control cabinet, the 800-1840 module maintains compliance with Low NOx Emission Class standards and manages heat output efficiently.
