The XM2200.01-01-31-31-301-NN-101N3NN is a programmable logic controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XM21 IndraControl Systems series. It serves as the central processing element in packaging lines, material-handling stations, and multi-axis machine tools, linking servo drives, distributed I/O, and supervisory networks. The unit houses the PLC, motion kernel, and fieldbus interfaces in one enclosure, allowing machine layouts with shorter wiring runs and reduced panel depth. Integrated logic and motion functions let the controller manage sequence control and coordinated axis movement from the same platform. Its design supports deterministic cycle execution, time-synchronized communication, and DIN-rail installation inside control cabinets.
The controller is driven by an Intel Atom E660 1.30 GHz CPU that executes deterministic control loops in conjunction with a 250 µs Sercos cycle time, enabling tight position and velocity coordination across IndraDrive axes. Network traffic to HMIs or MES servers is handled by a built-in 1 Gbit/s Ethernet port, while field wiring is energized from a 24 V DC power rail that feeds both logic and peripheral modules. Continuous service is maintained from -25 °C up to 60 °C, so the device can operate near heat-generating power electronics without forced cooling. Inside the enclosure, Class III protective insulation separates extra-low-voltage circuits from grounded metalwork. The housing dimensions are 100 mm wide, 126.3 mm high, and 74.1 mm deep, which helps the controller fit compact cabinet layouts where space is limited.
The die-cast frame contributes only 0.62 kg to panel load, which reduces mechanical stress on DIN-rail mounting points. An IP20 enclosure requires installation inside a closed cabinet, and normal convection airflow through the cabinet is sufficient for operation. Functional safety wiring follows Protection Class III conventions, so no protective earth is required. Operation is permitted up to 4700 m above sea level, allowing use in high-elevation installations. The compact enclosure and low mass also make the controller easier to position alongside drives, power supplies, and remote I/O modules in densely packed panels.
