The VT 16005-2X-A servo amplifier is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. It is a controller assembly intended to coordinate hydraulic motion axes and related feedback devices in industrial automation cells, providing closed-loop position, pressure, and synchronization functions for electrohydraulic machinery. Position feedback may be analog, incremental, or SSI absolute, allowing the system to use the most suitable transducer technology for the machine.

It incorporates 4 analog inputs for setpoint or sensor signals and 2 analog outputs that return processed values to external devices or drives. Up to 32 cross-axis cams can be programmed so the amplifier can trigger sequential events as multiple axes interact. Control is provided for 2 hydraulic axes, and each axis can receive data from proportional valves through 2 SSI encoder inputs to maintain absolute position integrity. Data exchange with higher-level controllers uses Standard Function Blocks, so motion parameters can be written or read without vendor-specific code. The unit executes a PDT1 position controller, a PIDT1 pressure and force controller, and a PI synchronization controller to keep dynamic error within the commanded tolerances. These control functions support coordinated movement when position, force, and timing must be regulated simultaneously.

Configuration tasks are carried out with the COM252M MS-DOS utility, and application programs follow the DIN 66025 NC language, in which up to 2000 NC sets specify point-to-point or interpolated moves. Two permanent modules retain machine parameters when power is removed, while the Controller Assembly IP252mH provides the computational core and stores axis logic. Directives arriving from these PLCs are decoded, buffered, and dispatched to the servo amplifier's axis channels so hydraulic motion proceeds in the intended order and time frame.
