VT 16000-2X-150 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The VT 16000-2X-150 servo amplifier is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. It acts as the command and power interface between a host controller and proportional hydraulic valves, translating numerical part programs into synchronized motion across multiple hydraulic axes. Intended for cabinet installation, the module supervises velocity, position, and pressure loops so that presses, injection systems, or forming equipment can follow repeatable travel profiles under varying load and temperature conditions.

The motion kernel runs in point-to-point mode and can coordinate up to 4 hydraulic axes simultaneously. Position regulation is handled by a PDT1 controller that shapes the response to reduce overshoot while keeping the settling time short. The unit accepts analog, incremental, and SSI encoders without requiring additional interface cards.  Plug-in expansion cards occupy four rear slots, allowing designers to add I/O, analog ranges, or communication layers without replacing the base chassis.

Setup and diagnostics are performed with the COM252M program, which provides parameter access and trace functions through a service port. The internal memory stores up to 2,000 NC sets, with each set coded in the DIN 66025 file format for direct import from compatible CAD/CAM posts. For cam-based operations, the system supports 32 cross-axis cams, enabling timed hydraulic events such as ejector release or core pull at precise tool angles. Synchronous movements are tuned by a PI algorithm that balances phase accuracy against valve bandwidth. This control method helps linked cylinders maintain close positional alignment during continuous production, even when the hydraulic load changes throughout the operating cycle.
