VT 16000-2X-121 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The VT 16000-2X-121 is a servo amplifier module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. It links hydraulic motion axes with PLC platforms in larger industrial automation cells. The module converts calculated commands into proportional valve currents and processes position feedback signals to form a closed control loop. This arrangement allows the controller to adjust hydraulic movement in response to measured position and pressure conditions during each operating cycle.

The integrated combination card provides 8 analog inputs for pressure or position transducers and 4 analog outputs that forward calculated set points to external drives or displays. A digital interface with 8 inputs and 8 outputs allows machine control words to trigger mode changes or read status bits without additional wiring. Position is regulated through a PDT1 controller that combines proportional, derivative, and first-order lag elements to achieve fast, stable spool movement. Pressure regulation uses a PIDT1 algorithm that adds an integral term to remove steady-state error during force control. These input, output, and control resources support monitoring, actuation, and corrective responses within the same operating cycle.

For higher-level coordination, the amplifier stores up to 32 cross-axis cams, enabling time-synchronized movements across as many as 4 hydraulic axes. Program memory can record 2000 NC sets, allowing multiple job profiles to be stored locally and recalled through bus commands that comply with the DIN 66 025 programming standard. Peripheral expansion supports four add-on cards for SSI encoder capture, counter channels, or additional analog blocks.  The available control functions support coordinated hydraulic positioning, pressure sequencing, and camming tasks in presses, die-casting machines, and wood-processing lines that require deterministic motion.
