VT 16000-2X-100 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The VT 16000-2X-100 belongs to the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It serves as a programmable control platform that drives multiple hydraulic axes. The unit links feedback encoders, analog sensors, and digital limit switches so that motion sequences in presses, cutters, and assembly stations follow precise setpoints generated by a host PLC or CNC.

The combination I/O module supplies 8 analog inputs for position or pressure signals and 4 analog outputs for valve command currents. Program creation and parameter transfer are handled through the COM252M software package, which allows axis data to be edited over a serial link. A counter card processes feedback from 2 incremental encoders, enabling position loops with submillimeter resolution, while an SSI card can accept four absolute encoders for machines that require a multi-turn reference. Up to 32 cross-axis cams can be generated internally so that dependent axes engage or disengage at exact master positions, eliminating the need for external cam switches. Separate digital boards provide eight inputs and eight outputs for limit sensors, solenoids, or general alarms, all selectable through the same control environment.

The main rack accommodates a maximum of 4 hydraulic axes, and motion data for each axis is stored in tables that can expand to 2000 NC sets, allowing large part programs without exchanging storage media. Part programming follows the DIN 66 025 numerical control language, ensuring compatibility with standard offline programming tools. Machines can also use ladder logic because the processor exchanges handshake signals with Siemens S5-115U, S5-135U, S5-155U, or S7-400 controllers over dedicated bus lines. Up to four plug-in modules can be installed at once, so the chassis can hold any combination of analog, digital, counter, or SSI cards required by the application.
