VT 1600-3X-0 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The VT 1600-3X-0 is a plug-in servo amplifier card from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. Designed for proportional valve control within hydraulic and electrohydraulic installations, the card modulates coil current so machine controllers can translate low-level command voltages into precise spool motion. The amplifier uses a standardized Eurocard footprint, allowing system integrators to mount the board directly in 19-inch racks beside PLC I/O and other motion modules. This arrangement places the valve control electronics close to the associated machine control hardware while retaining a removable card format.

The amplifier requires a regulated supply of ±15 VDC and draws a maximum of 200 mA from that rail, keeping heat dissipation low in high-density cabinets. An onboard reference path supplies ±10 V to external control circuits, eliminating the need for separate signal conditioners. To improve valve linearity, the card injects a fixed dither signal at 340 Hz with an amplitude of 3 mA peak-to-peak, making it suitable for compatible Bosch Rexroth directional and pressure valves. The card connects to the host backplane through a 32-pin plug. Its front plate measures 128 mm high and 8 HP wide to align with DIN rack dimensions. The linear voltage regulator is not installed, so the system power bus must provide a stable supply.

Command signals switch an integral relay with a coil resistance of 2000 ? and a switching time of 1 ms, allowing rapid enable or fault isolation without disturbing the analog stage. The printed circuit assembly follows the 100 x 160 mm Eurocard format, so it fits compatible guide rails and card ejectors used with other VT modules. At 0.15 kg, the board adds minimal mass to slide-in frames and places little additional load on the rack structure. The fixed front-plate dimensions maintain consistent spacing between adjacent cards. Its 32-pin connection provides the electrical interface between the amplifier, power bus, command source, and controlled valve circuit.
