RLB2-063HDB by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RLB2-063HDB motor supply lead is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RLB Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the designated connection between MS2(X) servo motors and ctrlX DRIVE converters in automated cells. By routing three-phase power together with auxiliary conductors inside a single jacket, the cable simplifies panel wiring and maintains shielding integrity. It is intended for assembly lines and gantry axes that require stable electrical performance during repeated motion.

The cable core consists of 4x L + 4x 1.0 mm² + 2x 1.5 mm² conductors, and the power conductors use a cross-section of 10 mm² to help limit resistive losses over longer runs. The power conductors are rated for a system potential of 600/1000 V, and continuous operation is allowed until the copper reaches a conductor temperature of +90 °C. Dielectric performance includes an insulation resistance of 20 M?/km at 20 °C. The outer sheath is made of PUR (Orange RAL 2003), which provides abrasion resistance and chemical stability. In fixed routing, the cable can operate in ambient temperatures from -30 °C to +80 °C, while dynamic routing allows -20 °C to +60 °C. A stationary installation requires a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, while energy-chain applications require 7.5 × D to reduce conductor fatigue.

Dynamic capability includes a service life of 5,000,000 bending cycles in drag-chain operation and an allowable torsional excursion of ±30 °/m for robotic axes. The integrated signal cores are insulated for control potentials up to 450/750 V, which allows auxiliary functions to run without a separate harness. A factory-fitted M58 motor connector keeps the shield termination consistent with the MS2(X) housing. This arrangement also reduces the number of separate cable runs at the motor end.
