RLB2-041ECB by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RLB2-041ECB is a factory-terminated motor lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RLB Motor Power Cables series. It links ctrlX DRIVE servo inverters to MS2(X) synchronous motors and belongs to the dedicated power distribution layer of an automation cell. By integrating three phase conductors and four auxiliary cores inside a single sheath, the assembly simplifies routing through cable chains, reduces panel work, and maintains the signal integrity needed for precise positioning and torque control.

Its three copper phase cores have a cross-section of 2.5 mm², which supports a continuous load current of 22.6 A without exceeding permissible conductor temperature. The insulation system is rated for 600/1000 V, so the same cable can serve low-voltage DC links or standard 400 VAC supplies used in European plants. Mechanical endurance is shown by a service life of 5,000,000 flex cycles when the dynamic bend radius is limited to 7.5 × D, which helps protect conductor stranding and jacket integrity during repetitive motion in energy chains. An outer sheath made of PUR (Orange RAL 2003) provides abrasion resistance, oil tolerance, and high visibility on the factory floor, so the cable remains suitable for welding cells, packaging lines, and pick-and-place modules.

Where movement is no longer required, the minimum loop may be reduced to 5 × D, a static radius that enables tight cabinet routing without compressing the core insulation. Continuous service is permitted across an ambient range of -30 to +80 °C, and the same temperature range applies during storage. A keyed M40 power connector is pre-fitted on the motor end, streamlining installation and helping prevent wiring errors. The cable also includes four 1.0 mm² auxiliary wires, allowing supporting circuits to travel with the power conductors in one assembly.
