RL2-601EBB by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RL2-601EBB motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. Designed as a link between drive inverters and servo motors, the assembly routes three-phase power while fitting plant routing requirements in automated cells. It is intended for motion systems that use a dedicated motor power cable between the inverter output and the motor connection point. Conductor geometry aligns with the second motor generation, so pin allocation follows the updated RL2 coding.

Each conductor has a nominal cross section of 2.5 mm², and the bundle provides 4 power cores in a 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm² cable layout. This arrangement carries motor phases and auxiliary circuits in one assembly. Supplementary 0.75 mm² pairs carry brake or sensor reference signals and are isolated from the load lines. Termination on the motor side uses a T (M32) terminal box, allowing screw clamps inside the housing. The outer sheath is molded from PUR (Orange RAL 2003), which resists oil and weld spatter and supports cable-chain use. Despite the protective jacket, the overall diameter remains 14.8 mm, which helps the cable fit in narrow carriers. The design has no additional shielding and belongs to the Rexroth Cable product group.

Mechanical longevity is addressed by a test rating of 5,000,000 bending cycles. To reach this value, the cable must be laid with a minimum dynamic loop of 7.5 × D, while static routing can tighten to 5 × D once clamped. These bend limits reduce copper strain and help prevent the insulation from kinking during axis strokes. A measured leakage capacitance of 0.4 nF/m reduces reactive current at high-frequency PWM output, which is useful where fast axis travel and repetitive bending increase electrical stress on the cable. The geometry and materials fit the connectors used for the cable series, so installation into drive and motor junction boxes does not require additional sleeves.
