RL2-563KBB by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RL2-563KBB motor power lead is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It functions as the primary connection between an IndraDrive controller and a second-generation servo motor, supplying three-phase energy and auxiliary signals needed for coordinated motion in automated cells. By combining power conductors and twisted signal cores in a single PUR-jacketed assembly, the cable simplifies routing inside drag chains on packaging machines, printing presses, and material-handling axes. This integrated layout also reduces the need for separate external harnesses along the same machine run and helps keep cable routing more organized.

The copper conductors have a cross-section of 25.0 mm², which is equivalent to American Wire Gauge 4 and gives the cable a continuous current capacity of 93.9 A under standard installation conditions. A metric thread connector sized M58 terminates the motor end and provides strain relief during dynamic motion. When the cable is clamped in fixed runs, the conductor insulation tolerates a maximum temperature of 90 °C. During continuous flexing, this limit decreases to 80 °C so thermal expansion does not weaken the insulation wall. Four auxiliary cores, TP1, TP2, BD+, and BD-, share the same sheath to carry brake and temperature sensor signals without a separate cable.

The power cores are rated for 600/1000 V, allowing the lead to connect inverters used on worldwide low-voltage mains, while the signal pairs carry their functions safely up to 450/750 V. For moving-axis installations, the minimum dynamic bend radius is 7.5 × D. In static trays, the bend radius may be reduced to 5 × D without overstressing the copper. The orange polyurethane jacket resists oil and welding sparks, which helps the cable remain suitable for industrial routing near active machinery.
