The RL2-542GBB motor power cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. Designed for second-generation servo and spindle assemblies, it transfers three-phase power and auxiliary signals between the drive and motor in automated lines. As a member of the Rexroth Cable product group, the assembly provides a pre-terminated interface that shortens panel wiring time and preserves shielding integrity in dynamic cable-track installations.

The cable uses a basic design with a bundled power and signal layout identified as 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm²; inside the sheath, the conductor set follows a 4x6.0+(2x1.0)+(2x1.5) mm² configuration so that servo feedback pairs can run beside six-square-millimeter power cores without crosstalk. This construction also limits weight, easing acceleration forces on high-speed gantry axes. Its molded M40 motor plug carries the power wires at a rated 600/1000 V, while the separate signal pairs are limited to 450/750 V. Electrical interference is mitigated by a distributed capacitance of 0.5 nF/m, and motion systems subject to repetitive drag-chain travel benefit from a durability rating of 5,000,000 bending cycles. Low capacitive coupling assists drive-side fault detection and keeps EMC filters within standard ranges.

Thermal and mechanical limits round out the installation data. The PUR (Orange RAL 2003) jacket encloses the assembly to an external diameter of 18.2 mm, allowing compact routing through energy chains. For stationary wiring, a minimum bend radius of 5 x D applies, but dynamic segments must respect a radius of 7.5 x D to preserve conductor integrity. Conductors may be run continuously up to 90 °C when fixed or up to 80 °C in flexing motion without insulation degradation, supporting stable operation for second-generation motors.
