The RL2-542FBB is a motor power cable built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for second-generation IndraDrive servo systems and provides the low-impedance path between the drive output stage and the motor terminals in automated machinery. By matching the electrical and mechanical requirements of moving cable carriers, it helps maintain stable current delivery and low electromagnetic interference in multi-axis industrial installations.

The cable has a flex rating of 5 million bending cycles, so it can operate continuously in drag-chain assemblies without conductor fatigue. A jacket made of PUR (RAL 2003) resists oil, coolant, and abrasion while remaining easy to identify in a machine layout. Internally, the 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm² layout separates four power conductors from four auxiliary conductors used for brake or sensor circuits. Each power core has a cross-section of 4.0 mm², which supports moderate current loads with limited voltage drop over longer cable runs. Leakage capacitance is limited to 0.5 nF/m, which helps control capacitive reactive current at high switching frequencies.

For dynamic motion, the cable can bend to a radius of 7.5 × D, while fixed routing may tighten that radius to 5 × D without overstressing the copper stranding. The overall sheath measures 17.0 ±0.5 mm in diameter, so standard Rexroth glands and drag-chain separators can be selected directly from sizing charts. A factory-installed motor plug with thread size M40 mates to second-generation MSK and MSM motors and provides a secure connection at the motor interface. It uses the Basic design version in the RL2 cable range, with the same conductor coloring and shielding arrangement used across related assemblies.
