The RL2-541CBB power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It belongs to the Rexroth Cable product group and routes three-phase power together with signal pairs to second-generation motors, allowing coordinated motion control inside automated machines. Used as a moving connection in cable carriers, it supports continuous flexing so drive modules receive stable power while an axis accelerates, decelerates, or changes direction. This combined cable layout also reduces the need for separate power and signal runs between the drive and the motor.
The cable withstands 5,000,000 bending cycles and may be installed with a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D or a static radius of 5 × D, which helps limit mechanical stress on the PUR jacket and the tinned copper cores. Four line conductors with a 1.0 mm² cross section are arranged as 4 × L, and an additional quartet of 0.75 mm² signal cores completes the 4 × L + 4 × 0.75 mm² layout. A power rating of 600/1000 V and a control-signal limit of 450/750 V allow the drive controller to energize the motor while low-level sensors share the same sheath without insulation breakdown. This arrangement supports both motor power transmission and auxiliary signal handling within one flexible cable body.
The outer diameter is 12.0 mm, which helps keep cable bundles compact inside drag chains and other tightly routed machine spaces. Leakage capacitance is specified at 0.4 nF/m, reducing reactive current and easing the load on motor inverters at high switching frequencies. An M40 threaded coupling head mates directly with Rexroth motor receptacles, so field crimping is not required. The orange PUR (RAL 2003) jacket resists oil and coolants, and the basic cable design places the signal pairs between the four 1.0 mm² power conductors for balanced flexing during repeated motion. Conductors may run at 80 °C during motion and up to 90 °C in fixed routing without loss of dielectric strength.
