The RL2-500CBT is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to compatible servo motors on moving axes and carries both phase power and auxiliary circuits through a compact, torsion-ready construction. This type of cable is intended for applications where motion is continuous and routing space is limited. Its design supports stable power delivery between a stationary drive connection and a moving motor connection without adding excessive stiffness. In automated machinery, the assembly routes energy across robotic joints or rotary tables while withstanding cyclic twisting during repeated motion.

This model integrates four power cores sized at 4 x 1.0 mm² to supply the main motor current, along with four auxiliary cores of 4 x 0.75 mm² for circuits such as a brake or sensor connection. The cable uses a 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm² layout, and its outer diameter of 12.2 mm keeps the assembly slim enough for drag-chain trays and other compact routing paths. A PUR jacket resists abrasion and oil exposure commonly found in machine tools and palletizers. The internal geometry is arranged for torsional movement, which helps prevent conductor strand movement during continuous rotation. Static installation requires a minimum bend radius of 5 x D, so the cable can be routed through cabinets and machine frames without requiring a large loop. The conductor insulation and shield system are matched to the 2nd motor generation, which helps keep electrical noise from interfering with encoder channels.
