The RL2-166LBB is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It connects second-generation IndraDrive motors to their drive controllers, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary conductors in one factory-terminated assembly. Combining these circuits in a single cable helps simplify routing in robots, gantries, and material-handling axes where repeated motion is common. The one-cable layout also reduces the need for separate runs through moving cable tracks and other confined machine paths. That arrangement is useful on articulated equipment where cable space is limited and motion can occur across several linked axes.

In energy-chain service, the cable is rated for 5,000,000 dynamic bending cycles. Its conductor arrangement follows 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm², which pairs four load conductors with four smaller wires used for auxiliary functions such as brake or temperature signals. The outer jacket is PUR (RAL 2003), giving the cable good resistance to abrasion, oil, and welding splatter. It can also withstand torsional movement of ±30°/m, and the power cores are rated for 600/1000 V for standard drive applications. The cable uses an unshielded basic design, which helps keep moving mass lower in fast-travel axes.

The cable has a total copper cross section of 35.0 mm², which helps limit voltage drop on longer runs. For stationary installation, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, while drag-chain operation requires 7.5 × D to reduce stress during continuous movement. The conductor insulation is polypropylene, and insulation resistance is at least 20 M?/km at 20 °C. Higher insulation resistance also helps reduce unwanted leakage paths across long cable lengths in electrically noisy machine environments. On the motor side, the assembly uses an E-size (M50) terminal-box connector that matches second-generation housings, and the factory-terminated ends support direct installation without field-built cable terminations.
