The RL2-104EBB motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. Classified in the Rexroth Cable product group, it serves second-generation motors by combining power conductors and auxiliary cores inside one PUR jacket. This arrangement lets automated axes receive drive voltage and low-level feedback through a single routed line in assembly robots, packing cells, and gantry systems with frequent axis movement.

This design uses a 4-core power layout plus four 0.75 mm² auxiliaries, identified as 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm². Each power core has a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm², supporting current levels normally found on medium-frame servos while keeping the outer diameter compact. The cable handles a rated system voltage of 600/1000 V on the motor phase set, and the auxiliary conductors are limited to 450/750 V to protect insulation on brake or feedback circuits. At 20 °C, it has an insulation resistance of at least 20 M?/km, which limits leakage and stabilizes signal reference levels over long drag-chain runs. A thermoplastic polyurethane outer sheath resists cutting oils and abrasion, and the internal geometry follows the second-generation motor pinout so the cable can be terminated with standard Rexroth bayonet connectors without rewiring.

For moving applications, the dynamic bend radius must not fall below 7.5 × D, while stationary loops can be tightened to 5 × D. In fixed routing, the conductors may reach a maximum of +90 °C, whereas motion cycles are capped at +80 °C to prevent softening of the PUR jacket and creep in the copper strands. Overall sheath temperature must stay below +80 °C when clamped and +60 °C during flexing, and service remains possible down to -30 °C in fixed installations and -20 °C in moving sections. These limits apply to repeated operation in energy chains and rotary tables where continuous flexing is expected.
