The RL2-086HBB is a motor power cable supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. This flexible assembly transfers three-phase power from a cabinet-mounted inverter to synchronous motors on automated axes. By maintaining consistent conductor geometry during motion, it supports stable current delivery and electromagnetic compatibility in production cells that use IndraDrive amplifiers and MS2 servo motors.

The cable uses a Basic design with finely stranded copper cores that withstand 5,000,000 flex cycles in energy-chain service. Mechanical strain is controlled by a minimum dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D, while stationary installations may be routed down to 5 × D without conductor fatigue. A polyolefin jacket gives the cable an outer diameter of 22.2 mm, and the load conductors each have a cross section of 10.0 mm². The insulation system limits capacitive coupling to 0.5 nF/m, which helps reduce drive-induced discharge currents in grounded machine frames. The cable follows the Basic model code and uses a standard thermal and chemical resistance profile for indoor factory environments.

Electrically, the conductor set follows the RL2 scheme of 4 x L + 4 x 0.75 mm², allowing simultaneous routing of motor thermistor and brake signals alongside the three power phases and protective earth. This layout connects directly to IndraDrive converters, eliminating intermediate junctions and lowering voltage drop. On the motor side, the cable terminates in a T-style connector that houses the M40 threaded entry used on second-generation MS2x machines equipped with a terminal box. The direct motor-to-drive connection preserves shield continuity from inverter output to stator windings. The assembly remains a Basic cable design, and its static and dynamic limits support energy-chain mounting near articulating gantries.
