The RL2-049EBB motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It forms the power link between an IndraDrive controller and a second-generation synchronous motor, carrying phase and signal conductors in a single jacket. Within automated cells, the cable guides energy and feedback through moving drag chains, so machines can position axes without intermittent power loss or electrical noise. Its role is limited to transmission, but using the proper cable helps avoid servo faults during motion.

Mechanically, the cable is rated for 5 million bending cycles, allowing repeated motion in linear tracks and cable carriers. The internal layout follows the 4 x L + 4 x 0.75 mm² scheme; four power cores handle the motor phases while four smaller auxiliaries route brake or temperature signals. When fixed, the copper conductors tolerate up to 90 °C before insulation aging accelerates. During motion, the jacket may curve to a dynamic radius of 7.5 × D, limiting stress on the insulation. The outer sheath is made from PUR, which provides oil resistance and a low coefficient of friction against cable troughs.

Flexible installation lowers the thermal ceiling to 80 °C, which keeps the polymer within its elastic range during motion. Electrical behavior is stabilized by a leakage capacitance of 0.4 nF/m, so drive pulse edges stay within expected rise times. A molded M40 connector terminates the motor side for direct connection at the motor end, and the direct motor-drive topology removes intermediate terminal boxes. With an outer diameter of 14.8 mm, the assembly fits standard drag-chain separators, and it may rest in a static bend as tight as 5 x D without kinking. Rated voltages of 600/1000 V for power and 450/750 V for signal pairs suit typical 400 VAC servo systems.
