The RL2-049DBB is a motor power and feedback cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It links a second-generation servo motor directly to the drive, delivering three-phase power and low-level sensor signals through a single flexible assembly. By consolidating wiring, the product reduces cabinet space and keeps cable routing orderly in automated packaging, handling, and machine-tool cells where precise, coordinated motion is critical to cycle time. That arrangement is useful on compact moving axes where space for separate power and feedback bundles is limited and bend management matters.

A basic cable design with numbered conductors simplifies termination and visual inspection during routing and service. The construction tolerates up to 5,000,000 flex cycles, so it remains functional in continuously moving drag chains. An outer sheath of PUR (Orange RAL 2003) protects the cores against oils and cutting fluids while offering high notch resistance. For moving applications, the minimum loop diameter is 7.5 × D, whereas installed runs that never move may be laid to 5 × D. Four power cores are dimensioned for 600/1000 V loads, and the paired signal leads are approved for 450/750 V, which allows power and feedback routing in one assembly.

The cable permits torsional movement up to ±30°/m, allowing it to follow swiveling axes without conductor fracture. Each copper core has a cross-section of 1.5 mm², matched to the current demands of typical Rexroth servo motors. The overall layout of 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm² places four signal wires alongside the power conductors while keeping them in a separate shielded quadrant. This arrangement helps maintain organized conductor separation inside the jacket during repeated motion. Continuous operation is permissible until the conductor temperature reaches 80 °C during flexible use, and the direct motor-to-drive connection removes the need for intermediate terminal boxes.
