The RL2-046DBB is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. Designed to link drive controllers to second-generation IndraDrive motors, it routes three-phase power and auxiliary signals in a single assembly suited for dynamic automation axes. The cable belongs to the Rexroth Cable product group and uses an M40 machine-side connector, allowing direct engagement with standard motor housings without additional adapters. Combining motor power and auxiliary conductors in one cable helps simplify routing along moving machine sections where space is limited. Its construction and materials are suited for continuous industrial use where bending, oil exposure, and electromagnetic compatibility are important.

Its internal layout follows a 4 × 1.5 mm² + 4 × 0.75 mm² arrangement that separates four power conductors from four auxiliary conductors. The cable carries up to 15.6 A continuously, matching the draw of mid-frame servo motors without excessive temperature rise. A PUR jacket resists oil and torsion, while the basic design keeps weight low for drag-chain use. Even with an outside diameter of 12.2 mm, the power bundle is rated for 600/1000 V, so long cabinet-to-motor runs remain within insulation limits. Leakage capacitance of only 0.4 nF/m keeps reactive current small, which helps maintain stable current control at high switching frequencies. The M40 plug is fitted on the motor side for direct connection to compatible housings.

The sheath is colored Orange (RAL 2003) to distinguish motor power lines inside mixed cable trays. For fixed installation, the conductors may reach 90 °C, while repetitive flexing is limited to 80 °C to protect insulation life during motion. Auxiliary cores that supply brake power or other auxiliary circuits tolerate up to 450/750 V, reducing dielectric stress when low-level wiring shares the same route as higher-energy leads. The outer extrusion also provides notch resistance and low smoke output, which supports safer cable routing in enclosed machinery and industrial cabinets.
