RL2-025DBB by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RL2-025DBB is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It links second-generation synchronous motors to matching drive controllers, carrying three-phase power and protective earth between the drive cabinet and the motor. This basic cable design is intended for both moving and fixed installation paths, so it can be routed through drag-chain tracks or fixed cable ducts where consistent electrical transmission and durable mechanical performance are required.

The cable supports 5,000,000 bending cycles, so it is suited for repetitive motion in dynamic cable carriers used on linear axes and handling systems. A dynamic bending radius of 7.5 x D is required during movement, which helps reduce conductor stress as the cable flexes. Its outer jacket is molded from PUR, giving the cable good abrasion resistance and oil tolerance in industrial environments. An integral circular connector with the standard M23 locking thread mates directly to compatible Rexroth power modules, which simplifies installation at the equipment interface. The overall diameter is 12.2 mm, allowing the cable to fit densely packed drag-chain cavities without occupying excessive routing space.

Electrical performance is arranged to protect both the drive and the motor over long cable runs. Insulation resistance remains at least 20 M?/km, limiting leakage current where humidity or long routing paths could otherwise affect performance. The shielded conductor bundle has 0.4 nF/m of capacitance, which helps reduce reactive loading on the inverter output stage. Each phase core has a cross-section of 1.5 mm², and the conductor layout is 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm² so auxiliary leads can serve functions such as brake supply or temperature monitoring. In a static run, the minimum bend radius is 5xD, and the PUR sheath is halogen-free.
