The RL2-021CBB is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use in the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. As a connection lead between a drive controller and a synchronous or asynchronous motor, the RL2-021CBB carries the power conductors and signal pairs needed for torque production and motor-related auxiliary functions in industrial automation cells. The assembly combines motor power transmission and paired signal routing in one jacket, which helps keep the connection path compact. It is intended for cable chains and stationary trays where controlled flexing, electrical isolation, and consistent routing behavior are required.

The cable uses a basic construction with four 1.0 mm² phase conductors and two twisted signal pairs arranged as 2 × 0.75 mm² each, which helps maintain balanced impedance while allowing brake or sensor lines to share the same sheath. It supports servo-axis circuits rated at 600/1000 V for power conductors and 450/750 V for signal circuits. In fixed installation, the conductor temperature can reach 90 °C, and in dynamic motion the minimum bending radius is 7.5 × D. This combination helps reduce conductor fatigue when the cable is routed through energy chains that cycle repeatedly during machine operation.

The outer jacket is halogen-free PUR (RAL 2003), and the cable has an overall nominal diameter of 12.0 mm, which helps keep carrier fill ratios low while providing abrasion resistance in moving and stationary routing paths. When the machine is idle, the cable may bend down to 5 × D without stressing the cores, and the permissible conductor temperature under flexing is 80 °C to protect the insulation system. Differential mode noise is limited by a leakage capacitance of 0.4 nF/m, making the cable suitable for drives from the second motor generation that use a keyed M23 connector for quick mating.
