The RL2-005CBB motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. As a Rexroth cable, it forms the power link between IndraDrive servo amplifiers and second-generation MS2x synchronous motors inside automated machinery. This arrangement carries motor power from the drive to the servo motor during repetitive axis motion. The cable is intended for direct motor-to-drive connection, eliminating intermediate terminal boxes and supporting signal integrity in handling, packaging, or assembly equipment.

The RL2-005CBB uses a 5,000,000 cycle flex-rated construction, so the conductors withstand long-term motion in cable chains. Its internal layout follows a 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm² arrangement, where four load conductors are paired with four smaller pilot cores for ground continuity or sensor reference. The conductors use a 1.0 mm² cross-section that balances current-carrying capacity with a limited outer diameter. These smaller pilot cores support reference and continuity functions alongside the main power path. When machine axes travel, the jacket must bend around pulleys; the dynamic minimum is 7.5 × D, while static routing inside cabinets can be set to 5 × D. A basic design classification indicates that the material set meets general-purpose oil and abrasion resistance without the additional shielding layers found on hybrid feedback cables. Power reaches the motor through an M17 power connector fitted at the device end.

Integration with IndraDrive controllers is simplified because the cable terminates in Plug D hardware that mates directly with MS2x (Plug D) motors of the second generation. This Plug D termination allows a direct connection at the motor interface without added adapter hardware. The assembly supports continuous service between -30 °C to 80 °C. The same limits also apply during storage, allowing use in both cold warehouses and warm production floors. This one-piece assembly avoids extension boxes and helps minimize voltage drop across the run.
