RKL4805 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4805 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the dedicated power and feedback link between Rexroth drive amplifiers and moving servo motors in gantries, pick-and-place heads, or articulated robots. By combining three shielded power cores with smaller signal conductors inside a flexible jacket, the assembly routes energy and low-level sensor lines through cable carriers without added conduit. It supports moving-axis applications where motor power and auxiliary circuits must travel together through the same cable path.

At the cable's core, the bulk conductor set is designated as INK0670, using a stranding layout suited to continuous motion. The jacket is rated for 5 million bending cycles, so it tolerates repetitive travel in drag-chain tracks. When the cable moves, a minimum dynamic loop of 7.5 × D must be maintained to prevent conductor fatigue, while stationary runs may use a tighter bend radius. Three power conductors sized 0.75 mm² carry phase current up to the drive's rating under a line voltage of 600 V AC. Parallel control pairs are insulated for a control potential of 300 V. The outer sheath remains flexible from -20 °C to +40 °C during motion.

On the drive side, the cable terminates in connector RLS1701, while the motor side uses RLS1702. Both housings include coded keys to prevent cross-mating during installation. The integrated control cores have a cross-section of 0.5 mm², which is suitable for brake release or temperature sensor circuits without adding unnecessary bulk. During permanent machine mounting, the assembly withstands a fixed-routing ambient of -30 to +40 °C without loss of dielectric strength. The molded connector bodies also keep the cable ends compact where motor and drive compartments offer limited space.
