RKL4804 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4804 power lead is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series and functions as the primary link between a drive controller and its motor in automated equipment. Its task is to transfer regulated AC power while allowing continuous machine motion, so the cable can be routed through cable tracks, robotic joints, or moving carriages without causing electrical interruption or mechanical fatigue. This makes it suitable for moving axes that need both reliable power delivery and repeated flexing during normal machine operation.

This model carries up to 600 V AC and uses copper conductors sized at 0.75 mm² to supply the motor phases with low resistive loss. A circular profile measuring 10.0 mm in outer diameter keeps the cable compact in dense machine layouts. The cable may be laid in stationary harnesses with a minimum bend loop of 5 × D, and in dynamic carriers it must follow a wider loop of 7.5 × D. These bend ratios help protect the insulation from cracks that can develop during repeated flexing. Polyurethane sheathing offers abrasion resistance, and the stated limits allow installation next to tooling or guide rails without rapid wear when the axis reverses quickly.

A separate signal pair for brake release or temperature sensors is provided with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², allowing auxiliary control circuits to run inside the same jacket. The PUR compound withstands surface nicks and oil splash while retaining flexibility up to a conductor temperature of 80 °C. Visual identification in wiring ducts is simplified by its Orange (RAL 2003) color, and the cable can be placed directly in energy chains because it is rated for drag chain use. Keeping motor power conductors and auxiliary circuits in one jacket helps simplify routing through moving cable systems.
