RKL4802 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4802 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo axes, it links the drive controller to the motor so that phase conductors and low-voltage control cores are routed in a single assembly. The cable maintains signal integrity and supports repetitive flexing inside cable chains commonly found on automated assembly lines and packaging equipment.

It withstands up to 5,000,000 continuous bending cycles under dynamic motion, an endurance figure important for gantry systems that travel thousands of strokes per shift. The outer jacket is molded from PUR, giving abrasion resistance and compatibility with lubricants used in machining centers. When the cable moves, the minimum dynamic bend radius is 7.5 × D, which limits mechanical stress on the three power cores and the integrated control pair. Each phase conductor uses stranded copper sized at 0.75 mm², balancing current capacity with flexibility. The assembly is rated for 300 V operating voltage on the power cores, matching low-voltage servo drives in material-handling cells. The cable is built on bulk cable type INK0670, which is intended for demanding moving-cable applications.

During installation, the cable can be laid to a static bend radius of 5 × D without jacket cracking. A separate signal trio with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² supports temperature sensor or brake control routing beside the power cores. Factory-fitted connector shells are used on both ends; the motor side carries the keyed RLS1701/C01 plug that locks to Rexroth synchronous motors, while the controller end terminates with the matching RLS1702/C01 counterpart. Halogen-free insulation supports compliance with plant fire-safety rules, and the flame-resistant sheath helps slow combustion spread. Continuous operation is allowed up to a wire temperature limit of 80 °C, which supports safe service in enclosed machine compartments that lack forced cooling.
