RKL4801 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4801 is a preassembled motor power cable supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links a Rexroth drive controller to a servo motor, combining three power conductors with auxiliary control cores in one flexible jacket. In automated machinery, this cable moves inside energy chains or along articulating axes, carrying motor current and brake or sensor signals while withstanding high cycle counts and tight bend radii used in continuous-motion production lines.

Constructed from the INK0670 bulk cable, the assembly is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, indicating how many flexing operations it can withstand in a drag chain before fatigue becomes critical. Each control core has a cross-section of 0.5 mm², which provides sufficient area for low-current feedback or brake-release functions without excessive voltage drop. During motion, the sheath may be bent to a minimum radius of 7.5 × D, where D is the outer diameter, so the cable can be routed through narrow carriers without overstressing the conductors. The outer jacket is RAL 2003 (orange), which makes the cable easier to identify in crowded cable trays.

The jacket is made of PUR, a material chosen for abrasion resistance and coolant tolerance, and it allows conductor temperatures up to 80 °C so the cable can operate near heated servo motors without insulation damage. A molded RLS0746/KM75 plug mates with the drive controller, while the opposite end terminates in an RLS1701/C01 motor connector for secure installation without field crimping. For fixed routing outside the drag chain, the static bending radius is limited to 5 × D, and the power cores use a 0.75 mm² cross-section to deliver sustained motor current while keeping the overall diameter low. The cable is suitable for drag-chain use on dynamic axes.
