RKL4785 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4785 is a motor power cable supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo drive installations, the cable transfers power and auxiliary signals between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous motor in automated machinery. This combined routing reduces the need for separate cable paths between the drive and the motor. The assembly is intended for moving cable applications where the harness bends repeatedly during normal machine operation.

The cable is rated for up to 5,000,000 flex cycles, allowing extended use in energy-chain routing without premature conductor fatigue. A dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D permits tight loops while limiting copper stress, while fixed installation requires a 5 × D bend radius. Four integrated control cores sized at 4 x 1.5 mm² carry brake release or temperature signals alongside the power conductors. Stable signal transmission is important in these systems because brake and temperature circuits share the same cable assembly. The copper conductors have a resistance of 0.78 ohm/km, which helps limit voltage drop on long cable runs. An outer sheath made from PUR, with an adhesion-free matte finish, resists oils, weld spatter, and abrasion in factory environments.

The controller end uses a RLS0727 (K25) circular connector, while the motor side terminates in a RLS1301 (C25) plug, so the cable connects directly to compatible Rexroth hardware without field crimping. Its distributed capacitance of 1.1 nF/m helps determine permissible run length and supports stable electrical performance when the drive switches motor phases at high frequency. A jacket color of RAL 2003 makes the cable easy to distinguish from nearby signal lines on a crowded machine frame. Clear visual separation of power and signal wiring helps keep routing organized in compact automation equipment, especially where several moving cable sets share the same carrier.
