RKL4784 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4784 cable is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for moving-axis installations where a drive controller must deliver stable power and auxiliary signals to a motor that travels in an energy chain. By combining motor power conductors and integrated control conductors in one jacket, the cable reduces separate cable runs, simplifies routing through moving assemblies, and helps keep machine layouts compact. This arrangement also keeps the moving cable package smaller than separate power and control harnesses, which can improve cable-chain organization in compact machines.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, which suits repetitive motion in high-duty pick-and-place gantries and similar automated equipment. Its direct-current resistance is 0.554 ?/km, which helps limit I²R losses along long cable runs during continuous operation. Each of the four control conductors has a cross-section of 1.5 mm², allowing auxiliary circuits to travel in the same drag chain as the motor supply lines. During motion, the minimum bending radius is 7.5 × D, and the outer jacket is made of PUR for abrasion resistance, coolant tolerance, and low surface adhesion.

For fixed cabinet routing, the minimum bend radius decreases to 5 × D, which supports tighter static cable paths without forcing sharp curves. The cable has an overall diameter of 30.8 mm, so entry plates and cable glands must provide matching clearance. Power is carried by four conductors with a cross-section of 35.0 mm², matching the needs of high-current motor connections. A distributed capacitance of 1.2 nF/m keeps the electrical load on the drive within expected limits on longer runs. Motor termination uses an RLK1301/K35 angled connector, and the controller side uses an RLS0727/K35 plug for direct connection to compatible components.
