The RKL4778 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the primary power link between an IndraDrive controller and its associated synchronous motor, carrying three-phase supply conductors and ancillary sensor lines in a single flexible sheath. By combining the power cores and auxiliary lines in one assembly, the cable reduces the number of separate runs between the drive and motor and keeps routing more manageable inside moving cable carriers. The cable is intended for continuously moving energy-chain applications where low mechanical stress on the drive and motor connections is necessary to maintain repeatable motion profiles in automated production cells.

The cable supplies drive current through a 35.0 mm² conductor set, a cross-sectional area selected to limit voltage drop when currents typical for medium-frame servo motors are drawn. Separate twisted pairs sized at 1.5 mm² provide control circuits for temperature sensors or holding brakes without adding excessive stiffness to the overall bundle. During motion, the outer jacket tolerates repetitive curvature down to a 7.5 × D dynamic bending radius, while stationary loops may be formed at 5 × D without mechanical damage. Life expectancy under continuous carrier operation reaches 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting high-duty positioning axes in packaging, assembly, and material-handling lines.

The cable uses the bulk cable reference INK0667 for consistent identification in assembled power leads. At the controller end, an RLS0727 molded connector mates directly with IndraDrive power terminals, and the motor end terminates in an INS0381 angled plug that locks to the motor housing without additional tools. The angled motor plug helps the cable exit close to the housing, which can reduce interference with nearby machine components in compact axis layouts. Thermal limits extend from -30 °C up to 80 °C, allowing movement through machine sections that experience cold starts or elevated enclosure temperatures.
