RKL4774 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4774 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links an AC drive to its corresponding servo or induction motor in automated packaging lines, gantry axes, and transfer systems. The cable integrates four power cores and two twisted, shielded control pairs so that phase current, brake release voltage, and monitoring signals can share one drag-chain path. This arrangement reduces required cable space and supports stable electrical performance in high-speed motion applications.

Inside the cable, each phase conductor has a cross-section of 16.0 mm², a size that helps limit voltage drop and control thermal rise during continuous current draw. The paired auxiliaries measure 1.5 mm², which is suitable for brake release circuits or sensor supply without adding unnecessary stiffness to the assembly. Rated insulation permits a line voltage of 600 V AC for the power cores, while the control pairs are rated for 300 V. The cable has an overall outer diameter of 25.5 mm, and its conductor arrangement uses four power cores with two shielded auxiliary pairs in one jacket. The fixed installation temperature limit reaches 90 °C, and the flexible rating allows operation up to 80 °C, which supports routing in equipment exposed to elevated ambient heat.

For dynamic routing, the assembly endures 5,000,000 flex cycles when bent around a minimum radius of 7.5 x D. Static layouts can tighten the bend to 5 x D without harming conductor geometry. The outer sheath uses PUR (adhesion-free, matte), a material that resists oil, coolant, and weld spatter while sliding smoothly inside plastic or aluminum carriers. That jacket also helps prevent sticking during repeated motion, which is useful in drag-chain systems that cycle continuously through short travel paths and frequent direction changes.
