RKL4769 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4769 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to servo motors in automated machinery, carrying phase conductors, control pairs, and a protective ground while tolerating the rapid strokes typical of gantry and handling axes. This arrangement lets one cable carry both motor power and auxiliary functions through moving machine sections. The design goal is to keep conductor geometry stable during millions of cycles so that voltage drop, signal fidelity, and shielding remain consistent across the installation.

For static installation, the cable can be bent down to 5 × D, while dynamic routing in energy chains requires a minimum radius of 7.5 × D. A cable diameter of 29.8 mm balances ampacity with flexibility, and the outer sheath is made of PUR to resist cutting oils and abrasion during constant motion. The jacket material also helps the cable move smoothly in carriers during repeated travel. For visual identification along machine frames, the jacket is colored Orange (RAL 2003), and the protective ground conductor uses green and yellow striping. Drag-chain suitability is stated, so the cable can be used in high-cycle carriers.

The cable also has electrical characteristics suited to servo motor power delivery. Power cores sized at 25.0 mm² handle servo peak currents, while separate control pairs of 1.5 mm² support brake release or temperature sensors without an additional harness. A loop resistance of 0.78 Ohm/km helps limit thermal rise on long runs, and a discharge capacitance of 1.1 nF/m helps keep reactive current within normal drive output limits. That combination supports stable voltage at the motor terminals and predictable electromagnetic behavior during operation.
