RKL4765 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4765 is a dedicated motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It transmits three-phase power and auxiliary control signals between a drive controller and its servo motor, while maintaining stable electrical performance in moving cable chains and other routed machine assemblies. By combining large power cores with separate low-voltage control conductors inside one outer jacket, the cable reduces the number of individual runs that must be routed through a machine. This layout also helps keep cable management orderly in automated equipment that uses repeated axis motion.

The cable includes four power conductors with a cross-section of 35.0 mm², which helps limit voltage drop during high current demand. A separate group of four control conductors uses a finer 1.5 mm² cross-section for functions such as brake release or auxiliary signal supply. The power conductors are rated for up to 300/500 V, while the control conductors are rated for 300/300 V. A nominal outer diameter of 30.8 mm gives the assembly a predictable size for cable glands, clamps, and energy-chain supports. Keeping the power and control paths in one cable can simplify routing where available installation space is limited.

The cable supports a mechanical service life of 5,000,000 bend cycles when it operates in moving carriers and the dynamic bend radius is kept at 7.5xD. For stationary installation, the allowable bend radius is tighter at 5xD, which helps in compact cabinet or machine-base routing. Its PUR outer jacket resists abrasion and common industrial oils, and the low-friction surface helps the cable slide more smoothly along guides and trays. Additional electrical values include a conductor resistance of 0.554 ?/km and a discharge capacitance of 1.2 nF/m. These properties support stable current carrying behavior and help maintain predictable cable performance in servo-driven systems.
