RKL4764 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4764 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. The assembly links servo drives to machine-mounted motors and auxiliary sensors, carrying three-phase power together with paired control cores so that motion axes can be energized and monitored through a single harness. Its design supports dynamic cable chains found in packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and other automation systems where continual movement places mechanical stress on the cable jacket and conductors.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 flexing cycles, indicating how many chain motions it can withstand before the copper or insulation reaches its fatigue limit. When the cable is moving, a minimum loop of 7.5 x D must be maintained, and this dynamic bending radius helps prevent strand separation in the cores. With the machine stationary, the static bending limit is reduced to 5 x D. Overall loop resistance remains low because the conductor resistivity is 0.78 ?/km at 20 °C. Two shielded control pairs, each built with 1.5 mm² wires, provide brake or sensor supply without requiring a separate cable. Even with these conductors, the outer diameter is only 29.8 mm, which allows installation in drag-chain compartments.

The cable is manufactured from bulk cable type INK0607, so assemblies in this size use the same conductor geometry and jacket compound. Factory-installed connectors simplify installation; the controller end terminates in RLS1302/C25, and the motor end is fitted with RLK1301 for compatible connection to matching drive components. The power cores have a cross-sectional area of 25.0 mm², which helps keep voltage drop low over long runs, and the four-conductor layout includes a dedicated protective earth. Because only two control pairs are included, noise coupling into encoder lines is reduced while basic brake control remains available.
