RKL4763 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4763 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a dedicated motor power link that carries three-phase supply and auxiliary control lines between a Rexroth drive and a servo motor. In automated production cells, this single-run configuration saves panel space, reduces installation work, and maintains stable electrical characteristics so that drive-controlled axes can follow position commands without unwanted voltage drop or timing error over long cable chains.

The conductor assembly uses bulk cable INK0606, and each copper strand and insulation layer is sized for continuous motion in energy chains. Three power cores of 16.0 mm² carry the current required by mid-range synchronous machines, while two control cores sized at 1.5 mm² support brake release or temperature sensing circuits. The cable diameter is 25.5 mm, which is useful when calculating tray fill and gland selection. Its electrical behavior includes a capacitance of 1.2 nF/m and a loop resistance of 1.21 ?/km, values that are useful for checking drive filter design and acceptable voltage drop. In static installations, the cable can bend to a radius of 5 × D, while dynamic routing in drag chains requires 7.5 × D to reduce conductor fatigue.

Factory-molded terminations simplify field wiring and reduce the amount of separate connection hardware needed at each end. On the drive side, the cable uses a RLS1302/C16 connector that mates directly with Rexroth power modules, and the motor end is prepared for the RLK1301 terminal box. The outer jacket is RAL 2003 (Orange) for clear identification inside multi-cable trays and follows common safety color coding for energized conductors. Its surface uses PUR (Adhesion-Free, Matte), a material that resists cutting oils, weld spatter, and continuous flexing without sticking to adjacent hoses.
