RKL4744 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4744 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to transmit three-phase power and auxiliary signals between an Indramat servo drive and a synchronous motor in automated machinery. The cable combines large power conductors and smaller control conductors in one assembly, so motor power and related auxiliary circuits can share a single routing path. This arrangement reduces the number of separate cable runs between the cabinet and the motor in industrial automation lines.

With an outer diameter of 30.8 mm, the cable offers enough conductor mass to carry motor currents without excessive heating. Each of the three power cores has a cross-section of 35.0 mm², which helps limit voltage drop over long runs. Four additional control cores are included, and each one has a conductor area of 1.5 mm², making them suitable for auxiliary circuits such as thermal contacts or reference signals. Electrical losses are limited by a loop resistance of 0.554 ?/km at 20 °C, while a mutual capacitance of 1.2 nF/m between conductors supports stable signal transmission. These electrical values support power delivery and auxiliary signaling across extended cable lengths. The combination is well suited to high-current servo applications that also require smaller control conductors in the same cable.

The sheath is molded from PUR, a material selected for abrasion resistance and oil resistance in moving-axis carriers. Its surface is colored RAL 2003 (orange), which helps identify motor wiring inside crowded energy chains. The cable is approved for drag-chain use, with a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D and a fixed-installation bend radius of 5 × D. The jacket surface also supports smooth movement through guides and cable carriers during repeated flexing.
